Specifically, within the context of security and loss prevention, risk represents the likelihood that a specific threat will take advantage of a certain vulnerability, resulting in undesired consequences. As the business landscape undergoes constant transformation, the emergence of new business risks and shifts in existing risk profiles necessitate that organizations consistently enhance their capabilities in recognizing and addressing these risks effectively.
